Scottish-born American impressionist Alan Scott-Moncrieff will guide you on the most spectacular trip to SE Asia where you will paint the remarkable places of film and legend, stay in luxurious hotels, enjoy sumptuous Asian hospitality and dine on exquisite Oriental cuisine. This trip evokes the better and ethical sentiments of the colonial days. Alan studied at Edinburgh College of Art and is the grandson of the late illustrator Keith Ward (The Black Stallion, Read with Dick and Jane, Saturday Evening Post etc). He has lived and taught around the world and has nine years of working in Asia which affords him the contacts and insider knowledge to make this trip the perfect, safe experience for you as a budding Expedition Painter. The Orient

Cambodia was known as the Jewel of the Orient. Though renowned for it's troubles in the 1970's, it has made an extraordinary recovery and has now become the choice destination in SE Asia. The Angkor temples offer an unparalleled setting for the Expedition Painter and will provide you bragging rights for decades to come. Thailand offers some of the greatest tropical havens remaining in the world today and is famous for it's kind, gentle people and exciting cuisine. Between these two countries you will receive a taste of the region that will open you up to exploring Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam in future trips.

I take only 12 students for each Expedition. This is so each participant has the optimally rewarding experience both as a painter and an adventurer. This also makes these Expeditions perfect for groups of friends or Art Club Members who'd like to travel and paint together. As your teacher/guide I will concierge your flight & accommodation plans with you by phone/Skype so you can handpick options to suit your personal needs and comfort preferences.
